The nature of CORTEN steel is that it rusts overtime. The rustic nature of the material means imperfections in colour and texture, which are just some of the many reasons we love this material, giving it unique characteristics. Because it starts off as raw steel, we don’t always have the privilege of seeing it after it has had time to weather into the beautiful rusty, orange-brown patina.
